Home Away From Home

The girls get mighty used to the baseball fields since they spend up to four nights a week at them all Spring long. This night was not such a great one for Paige... She never cried, and it didn't bleed much, but it was a full thickness cut. I was worried it needed stitches so I dropped into a friend's house, who happens to be an ER nurse. She kindly helped us steri-strip it and all was well. The only bribing Paige needed to sit still was to pet their dog when she was done, worked like a charm.

Another tragic moment for Paige was when she fell down and embankment and was stranded, hanging on for dear life for an unknown period of time (sounds more tragic than it looks in real life. You would laugh if you saw it, but to her, scary. It really wasn't far or steep, she just didn't know that) poor girl.

On a happier note, the girls found a pet snail during one game that became quite popular with all the girls.

Paige even reluctantly held it.

Zoo Time

Kate's last preschool fieldtrip was to the Point Defiance Zoo. I took Paige and went along. It was a gorgeous day and we had a lot of fun with all of Kate's friends.

Paige is the perfect age to take to the zoo, she just loves it.

Makeover Fun

With Grandma in town, Kate had no problem giving up her bedroom, because she had a new client for her makeovers. Paige joined right in on the fun. They woke grandma up every morning at 7am to remind her! Grandma was great. She handed over all her make-up and let them have at it (something Mom would NEVER consider).

It was hard to get Paige to stop. She would have done it all day if allowed.

The results were beautiful, an a 2 and 5 year old sort of way!

Sweet Sisters

I was cleaning upstairs, so I let Kate get in Paige's bed with her. She decided to read her some stories.

I hope Kate continues to love to read books to Paige, especially when she can really read. Although her made-up stories are quite intriguing.

The latest vinyl I put up, there are white flowers around her name, you can't see them very well in the picture. Thanks Michelle, I love it!

The flowers were a little plain so I decided to add a jewel, it turned out great.

I also put up some Hawaiian flowers in Kate's room.

Sisters

Kate singing some primary songs to Paige while they share a blanket.

I love you Paige!
It's so cute when Kate talks to Paige and refers to her as her little sister. She can't wait for her to grow up and dance with her and play with her. For now, she'll just sing her songs and hug and kiss the heck out of her!
