Kate, Kate, Kate

She is so full of one-liners I could spend all day recording them. Last week we had leftover cupcakes from the ward party. Kate said "I want crosting. You know like Crosty the Snowman."
This week she woke up and said "I need to wear a coat today because it's really cold and soggy outside." Well, in Seattle it is soggy alot, but actually we've had very little rain this month, it was really just foggy outside.
Last night I reminded her she got to wear her costume to school. I had told her the day before. I thought she would be excited and talk about what she wanted to wear. Instead, my sassy little 3 year old said "Mom, you've told me that like 5 times!"

Newborn Favorites

Since newborns grow up so quickly I wanted to record some of my favorite things about Paige that I don't want to forget.

  1. The little squeaking noises she makes
  2. Her little fists squeezing my finger.
  3. Sleeping smiles (she gave her first real one yesterday-3 weeks old).
  4. Holding her curled up on my chest.
  5. When she stretches with her back arched and he feet all curled up.
  6. Big yawns.

The only thing I don't love about having a newborn, is having a 3 year old girl that want to touch her CONSTANTLY. I hope she loves her that much when they're teenagers!

We feel so blessed to have Paige in our lives. She is so sweet, even though she poops and pees through her clothes constantly! It's a wonderful time...

My latest crafts

We have Super Saturday coming up in our ward. My friend Tia is in charge so we've been brainstorming and making some samples of crafts lately. It's been fun. We've made tutu's (check the Halloween pictures), padded wipes cases, Christmas stackers, and magnet boards and this little board book pictured below.
I made this for my mom to carry around in her purse. I even found an organza bag that it fit in perfectly. We found these books at the Dollar Tree, what a fun project. I'll try to post some pictures of my other projects later.

Our Soccer Stud

I haven't been to the last few games, but apparently Bradley has become quite an aggressive soccer player. The last few years he hasn't wanted anyone to watch him play, but this year he's doing great and loving it. It's fun to see him excel and enjoy what he's doing.

Bradley did comment to me that he does want to keep playing baseball though, because otherwise he would have too many soccer trophies.

It's just FLAG football

That's what I thought when I agreed to let Tyson play. Rick and I thought it would be a great opportunity for him to try something new and learn the rules of football. When I arrived at the first game I was able to attend (after having Paige), this is what I arrived to see.
He was the snapper and I guess his teammate punted the ball right into his eye as he was looking to the side.
This is a picture the night it happened, it actually got a lot worse a few days later. He looked like he had hot pink eyeliner with purple eyeshadow. The week prior he came home from practice with a fat lip. School pictures were the next morning. Good thing I took them into Penney's in August. I told him he should be a boxer for Halloween.
I don't know that he'll play again next year, but he's had a good time.

Ward Fall Festival

We attended our Ward Fall Festival last night (Paige stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa). Tyson deemed it the best ward party ever. There was carnival food and plenty of games to play for the kids such as mini golf, ring toss, crafts, haunted house, donuts on a string, cake walk, and always a favorite..face painting...

More Pictures of Paige

Kate shared her dollies with Paige, which is just one of the many nice things she's done for her sister, like putting doll pillows behind her head, and carrying her halfway across the family room. She always has a good intention, unfortunately it's not always appreciated.

Things are going well, but I'm pretty sure that's because my parents are still here to help. My dad has built storage in our garage, yea, just what we needed with another baby in the house. And my mom has cleaned and made wonderful meals etc etc. Wow, thanks a million for all your help. I'm sure glad I planned this baby right after my dad retired (not really, but it sure did work out perfectly).
I haven't seen the kids off to school yet. But I have seen the scary outfits they have come home in. After Friday I had to insist they come in and show me what they have on before they leave, Grandma is too nice!
Reality is yet to come!

Introducing our New Arrival Paige Elizabeth

Another chubby Wenger baby....
Just a quick note for now. She was born on her due date, 10/8/08 (unprecedented in our family!). She was 8# 9oz and 20 inches long. So she is a little bigger than Tyson was, but smaller than Kate and definitely Bradley. We think she's perfect of course! We've been around and around with her name, but finally settled, although Kate and Bradley still aren't convinced. Kate keeps saying she doesn't like it, and finally said "fine, you call her Paige, I'll call her Sadie!" She's eating and sleeping well, and I'm feeling as good as one can for two days postpartum. More updates to come.
